Reflection on the trip to National Archives

The National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) is the record keeper of a certain nation. Out of the many documents and materials created, only important ones for legal and certain historical reasons are kept forever.

These valuable records are then protected and preserved to be available to the public. In the event that visitors request to look through the records to see if they contain information they need, it is made available.

Staffs in the National Archives work to ensure the quality and health of records remain available for public use for as long as possible through preservation. Accurate description, appropriate storage and handling of records are also ensured.

From the above, it is visible that Social Media & Web 2.0 technologies are not used for public communication & education. The records preserved come in either paper or tapes, which were no longer used.
